ABOUT THIS BLOG
My life can be divided into my life before mom-dom and my life after mom-dom. Everything that I do, as a teacher, a professor of education, a writer, a filmmaker, a comic book creator is now transformed because of being a mom. Kaikai, my baby, occupies most of my time, my iPad, my entire computer and cell-phone screens. Most important, Kaikai has grounded my thinking about education in her experience, her growing up, and in my dreams for her.
Because of many years of teaching, first as a secondary English teacher and as a professor of education, many of my friends with kids call me with their questions such as, “how do you discipline your toddler,” “how do you choose a school,” “how do you bring up a bilingual kid” etc.
In this blog, I will think about these multiple questions that make parenting one of the hardest things that most of us will ever do in our lives.
